Hi, I’m Cat Perry (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio. I primarily work with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with are used to being the strong one, the dependable one, or the one who keeps everything moving while quietly struggling themselves.

Over time, it can become difficult to tell the difference between who you are and who you have learned to be for other people. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, explore those patterns with curiosity, and better understand yourself in the context of your relationships, experiences, and the systems around you. I approach therapy from a relational, person-centered, and existential lens, with attention to how you make meaning of your experiences, how you relate to yourself and others, and what it might look like to live in a way that feels more aligned with who you are.

I’m especially passionate about working with individuals exploring identity, navigating gender or sexuality, or untangling expectations around who they are “supposed” to be. I am affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities and committed to creating a space where you do not have to explain or defend who you are.

My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, integrating evidence-based practices in a way that stays flexible and responsive to you as a person rather than rigid or prescriptive. I draw from experience in inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings, which allows me to support both acute distress and longer-term growth.

I currently offer in-person and virtual counseling services for individuals ages 16+ in Ohio. If you would like to connect, please reach out through the contact page!
